Hypoallergenic, ideal for preventing diaper rash
bibilab by Bambiboo ointment created especially for preemies, designed for diaper area care for little ones - including babies born prematurely after the 28th week of pregnancy.
The skin in the diaper area of newborns (especially preemies) is functionally immature. A thinner stratum corneum, higher permeability and greater susceptibility to moisture make its protective barrier more vulnerable to damage. The bibilab by Bambiboo diaper rash ointment is based on the concept of physical skin protection. The blend of lipids and waxes creates an insulating layer on the skin surface, helping reduce contact with moisture and potentially irritating substances.
Additionally, absorbent ingredients such as rice starch help control moisture levels in the diaper area. This is crucial in preventing diaper rash, as excessive moisture weakens the skin barrier.
That’s why bibilab was created when more and more of you started asking for skincare that would be just as gentle and trustworthy as our diapers. We combined our experience as Bambiboo with the knowledge and laboratory precision of Marta Pawłowska - cosmetic safety expert, PhD in pharmaceutical sciences and mother of three children.
“At bibilab by Bambiboo, we focus on four key areas: limiting the penetration of unnecessary substances deep into the skin, supporting the skin barrier, caring for microbiome balance and maintaining physiological pH.”

The physiological 2in1 cleansing gel bibilab by Bambiboo is based on gentle amphoteric syndets that remove both water-based and oily impurities while protecting the skin barrier.
At the same time, moisturizing and emollient ingredients help reduce water loss after washing and maintain skin comfort.
A newborn’s skin – especially that of a preemie – is still learning how to perform its protective function. Although it contains all the layers found in adult skin, it works differently. It is more permeable, loses water more quickly and its hydrolipid barrier is not yet fully developed. This is partly due to the structure of the stratum corneum. In adults, it consists of several tightly packed layers of cells that act like a sealed barrier. In the youngest children, these cells are more oval-shaped, loosely arranged and less tightly connected, making the skin more permeable to external factors while also losing moisture more quickly, which leads to dehydration and dryness.
